Rivermead’s CPGA Professional staff offers a variety of instructional programs for players of all levels, including video analysis, on-course playing lessons, coaching programs, private lessons, group lessons and clinic settings. Our objective is to help you improve to increase your enjoyment of the game of golf.

Head Golf Instructor
Ralph came to Rivermead in 2013. He has more 25 years of experience in the golf industry. He began his career as an apprentice at the Board of Trade Golf Club in Toronto working under Murray Tucker, one of only a handful of CPGA Master Professionals in Canada. He was also Head Golf Professional at two golf clubs in Belleville.
Over the years, Ralph realized that helping people improve was where he got the most enjoyment, so teaching became his primary focus. Ralph works effectively with golfers of all levels, helping them to improve their scores and enjoyment of the game. In addition to teaching private and group lessons, Ralph runs the Getting Started and Junior programs at Rivermead.
Assistant-Director of Golf
Mathieu is actively involved in the Golf Industry since 2006. Serious competitive golfer, he notably won a local qualifier for the 2012 US Open with a round of 66. He also won the 2013 Edition of the Duc de Kent Tournament played at the Royal Québec golf club. His -10 total is still, to this day, the tournament scoring record. He accomplished it by notably playing -7 on the last 6 holes of the final round. He finished #1 on the overall Golf Quebec Order of merit in 2013.
PGA of Canada member since 2014, he was Affiliated golf professional at the club de golf Laval-sur-le-Lac from 2014 to 2016 before joining the Pinegrove Country Club from 2017 to 2018 as assistant professional.
Mathieu is recognized by his peers for his great knowledge, solid experience and his ability to optimize every golfer’s potential whether through teaching, coaching or club fitting. Since 2016, he is also renowned as one of the best Titleist ‘’Tech Rep’’ across Canada.
As a coach for Golf Quebec, he was actively involved in the creation of the Sport-Études Golf Program now based in Gatineau. He coaches the Gatineau structure since 2017. Following his recent training and seminars formation held at the PGA Headquarters in Florida Mathieu is now a Trained Coach of Developing Competitor (PGA of Canada 2019).
Mathieu likes teaching and can adapt his methods whether you’re a beginner, competitive amateur or professional. He pays attention to details and can count on his analysis capacity to improve your game. Most importantly, he possesses the ability to explain and/or demonstrate the best solutions to correct certain patterns. He also specializes with athletes and competitive players that require specific coaching. Finally Mathieu is a fully certified club fitter for all major golf equipment manufacturers. If needed you are invited to book your golf lessons or personal club fittings with Mathieu at the Pro Shop or directly through him (call, text messages or email). He will gladly answer your request.
Competition wise for 2019, Mathieu will play some professional golf Tournaments during summer but will also be available to play with you or your group at Rivermead his schedule permitting.
